Volunteer Update

Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate the changing guidance and orders to assure our staff and students are safe.  We rely on our volunteers to support our staff, students, and programs and are eager to have our volunteers return to campus.  At this time, in addition to Live-Scan and TB clearance, we are requiring volunteers to be vaccinated against COVID-19.  Please know this decision does not come lightly as we want to be able to welcome all our volunteers to campus.  However, with CDPH Guidance stating, “Schools should limit nonessential visitors, volunteers, and activities involving external groups or organizations with people who are not fully vaccinated, particularly in areas where there is moderate-to-high COVID-19 community transmission,” and the Order of the State Public Officer of August 11, 2021, requiring all adults on campus to be vaccinated or undergo weekly diagnostic testing.  Unfortunately, we currently do not have the capacity to monitor and track weekly testing of adults beyond staff.  As we progress through the year and become confident in our ability to monitor and track staff testing, we can reconsider tracking testing for volunteers. If you meet the requirements and would like to begin volunteering, please submit your digital vaccination record by clicking on the school link below.  Please note, you will need to provide vaccination records to each school you plan to volunteer.  As with Live-Scan and TB clearance, school sites will track vaccination records and will communicate eligibility to staff.

If you wish to volunteer at the Rocklin Academy Family of Schools (RAFOS), TB clearance and Live Scan are required.  These schools include Rocklin Academy, Rocklin Academy Gateway, American River Collegiate Academy, and Western Sierra Collegiate Academy.
If you have been live scanned through Rocklin Academy at the elementary level, you DO NOT need to repeat your Live Scan when your student enters Western Sierra.

If you have been live scanned by another organization, you still need to be live scanned through Rocklin Academy.  The Department of Justice (DOJ) does not share Live Scan results done by other organizations with Rocklin Academy Family of Schools.
If you plan to transport students on any off-campus learning experiences, please view our policies to the right and return the agreement on the last page of the policy to the school office.
Don’t forget to take the LiveScan form with you, and save the receipt.
