Authorized under the Charter School Act of 1992, the Rocklin Academy Family of Schools are public schools open to ALL students. We were the first public school in the greater Sacramento area to offer the nationally-recognized Core Knowledge curriculum. date/time. 

 

The Rocklin Academy Family of Schools are public, tuition-free, charter schools that embody high standards, parent partnership, rich core content and collaborative use of data, resulting in high quality teaching and learning in a nurturing environment.

The demand at the Rocklin Academy elementary campuses led to additional campus offerings and the development of Western Sierra Collegiate Academy, our 7-12 educational program.  Our middle/high school is similar in design and educational program to some of the best public and private schools in the United States. date/time. 

 

The structure of Western Sierra was based on the Pacific Collegiate School, the highest achieving open enrollment high school in California, and other high performing schools in California and throughout the United States. Western Sierra is a college-preparatory, public, tuition-free charter school open to all.  We have a diverse population, and students are accepted without entrance criteria.  Western Sierra provides an engaging and rigorous academic curriculum, focusing on math, science, social studies, foreign language and the arts.  Students in grades 9-12 will be enrolled in courses required for entrance to the University of California, California State University and selective private universities.
